… Last Hour – page 2

Al-Ahzab
(33:63) People ask you concerning the Hour. Say,” Knowledge of it is only with Allah . And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.”
(33:64) Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze.
(33:65) Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper.

Fussilat
(41:47) To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, “Where are My ‘partners’?” they will say, “We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that].”

As-Saffat
(37:16) When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
(37:17) And our forefathers [as well]?”
(37:18) Say, “Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible.”
(37:19) It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
(37:20) They will say, “O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense.”
(37:21) [They will be told], “This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny.”
(37:22) [The angels will be ordered], “Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
(37:23) Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
(37:24) And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned.”

Al-Qalam
(68:42) The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,
(68:43) Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.
(68:44) So leave Me with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur’an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.
(68:45) And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.

Az-Zumar
(39:67) They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
(39:68) And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on.
(39:69) And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged.
(39:70) And every soul will be fully compensated [for] what it did; and He is most knowing of what they do.

Ya-Sin
(36:12) Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.

(36:29) It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

(36:48) And they say, “When is this promise, if you should be truthful?”
(36:49) They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.
(36:50) And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.
(36:51) And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.
(36:52) They will say, “O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?” [The reply will be], “This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth.”
(36:53) It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
(36:54) So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

At-Tur
(52:1) By the mount
(52:2) And [by] a Book inscribed
(52:3) In parchment spread open
(52:4) And [by] the frequented House
(52:5) And [by] the heaven raised high
(52:6) And [by] the sea filled [with fire],
(52:7) Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.
(52:8) Of it there is no preventer.
(52:9) On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion
(52:10) And the mountains will pass on, departing –
(52:11) Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,
(52:12) Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.
(52:13) The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],
(52:14) “This is the Fire which you used to deny.
(52:15) Then is this magic, or do you not see?
(52:16) [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient – it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do.”
(52:17) Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,
(52:18) Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.

Al-Qamar
(54:1) The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

(54:4) And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence –
(54:5) Extensive wisdom – but warning does not avail [them].
(54:6) So leave them. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,
(54:7) Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,
(54:8) Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, “This is a difficult Day.”

Ash-Shura
(42:17) It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.
(42:18) Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it, but those who believe are fearful of it and know that it is the truth. Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error.

(42:47) Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that day, nor for you will there be any denial.

Az-Zukhruf
(43:66) Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not?
(43:67) Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.

(43:85) And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them and with whom is knowledge of the Hour and to whom you will be returned.

Ad-Dukhan
(44:10) Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke.
(44:11) Covering the people; this is a painful torment.
(44:12) [They will say], “Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers.”
(44:13) How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.
(44:14) Then they turned away from him and said, “[He was] taught [and is] a madman.”
(44:15) Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief].
(44:16) The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution.

Al-Haqqah
(69:13) Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
(69:14) And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow –
(69:15) Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
(69:16) And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
(69:17) And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].
(69:18) That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.

Al-Ma’arij
(70:1) A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen
(70:2) To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer.
(70:3) [It is] from Allah, owner of the ways of ascent.
(70:4) The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.
(70:5) So be patient with gracious patience.
(70:6) Indeed, they see it [as] distant,
(70:7) But We see it [as] near.
(70:8) On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,
(70:9) And the mountains will be like wool,
(70:10) And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend,
(70:11) They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children
(70:12) And his wife and his brother
(70:13) And his nearest kindred who shelter him
(70:14) And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him.
(70:15) No! Indeed, it is the Flame [of Hell],
(70:16) A remover of exteriors.
(70:17) It invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience]
(70:18) And collected [wealth] and hoarded.

(70:42) So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised –
(70:43) The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening.
(70:44) Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised.

Al-Muzzammil
(73:12) Indeed, with Us [for them] are shackles and burning fire
(73:13) And food that chokes and a painful punishment
(73:14) On the Day the earth and the mountains will convulse and the mountains will become a heap of sand pouring down.

(73:17) Then how can you fear, if you disbelieve, a Day that will make the children white- haired?
(73:18) The heaven will break apart therefrom; ever is His promise fulfilled.

Al-Muddaththir
(74:8) And when the trumpet is blown,
(74:9) That Day will be a difficult day
(74:10) For the disbelievers – not easy.

Al-Qiyamah
(75:6) He questions: “When will this Day of Resurrection be?”
(75:7) Well, it will come when the sight shall be dazed,
(75:8) the moon will be eclipsed,
(75:9) and the sun and the moon will be brought together
(75:10) – on that Day man will ask: “Is there any way to escape?”
(75:11) Nay!  There will be no refuge.
(75:12) On that Day, the refuge will only be towards your Lord (Rabb).
(75:13) On that Day man shall be told about all his deeds, from the first to the last.
(75:14) Indeed, man shall bear witness against himself,
(75:15) even though he shall plead with excuses.

Al-Mursalat
(77:8) So when the stars are obliterated
(77:9) And when the heaven is opened
(77:10) And when the mountains are blown away
(77:11) And when the messengers’ time has come…
(77:12) For what Day was it postponed?
(77:13) For the Day of Judgement.
(77:14) And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?
(77:15) Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
(77:16) Did We not destroy the former peoples?
(77:17) Then We will follow them with the later ones.
(77:18) Thus do We deal with the criminals.

An-Naba
(78:17) Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time –
(78:18) The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
(78:19) And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
(78:20) And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
(78:21) Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
(78:22) For the transgressors, a place of return,
(78:23) In which they will remain for ages [unending].
(78:24) They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
(78:25) Except scalding water and [foul] purulence –
(78:26) An appropriate recompense.
(78:27) Indeed, they were not expecting an account
(78:28) And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.
(78:29) But all things We have enumerated in writing.
(78:30) “So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment.”
(78:31) Indeed, for the righteous is attainment –
(78:32) Gardens and grapevines
(78:33) And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
(78:34) And a full cup.
(78:35) No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood –
(78:36) [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,
(78:37) [From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.
(78:38) The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
(78:39) That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
(78:40) Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, “Oh, I wish that I were dust!”

An-Nazi’at
(79:1) By those [angels] who extract with violence
(79:2) And [by] those who remove with ease
(79:3) And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
(79:4) And those who race each other in a race
(79:5) And those who arrange [each] matter,
(79:6) On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
(79:7) There will follow it the subsequent [one].
(79:8) Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
(79:9) Their eyes humbled.
(79:10) They are [presently] saying, “Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
(79:11) Even if we should be decayed bones?
(79:12) They say, “That, then, would be a losing return.”
(79:13) Indeed, it will be but one shout,
(79:14) And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth’s surface.

(79:34) But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity –
(79:35) The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
(79:36) And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see –
(79:37) So as for he who transgressed
(79:38) And preferred the life of the world,
(79:39) Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge
(79:40) But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
(79:41) Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
(79:42) They ask you about the Hour: when is its arrival?
(79:43) In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
(79:44) To your Lord is its finality.
(79:45) You are only a warner for those who fear it.
(79:46) It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.

Al-Qariah
(101:1) The Striking Calamity –
(101:2) What is the Striking Calamity?
(101:3) And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
(101:4) It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
(101:5) And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
(101:6) Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
(101:7) He will be in a pleasant life.
(101:8) But as for one whose scales are light,
(101:9) His refuge will be an abyss.
(101:10) And what can make you know what that is?
(101:11) It is a Fire, intensely hot.

At-Tariq
(86:8) Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.
(86:9) The Day when secrets will be put on trial,
(86:10) Then man will have no power or any helper.
